passionate community member, your time and talents can help shape the future of students across South Florida and beyond.
By volunteering with the American Center for Aviation Innovation (AMCAI) and its partner school, American High School Academy (AHSA), you’re directly supporting underserved youth and helping build pathways to careers in aviation, aerospace, maritime, artificial intelligence, engineering, and other high-demand STEM fields.
Volunteer Opportunities
✈️ Aviation & Maritime Industry Experts
● Speak to students as a guest presenter
● Lead workshops or demonstrations in aviation, drones, navigation, or marine science
● Mentor students in certification preparation (FAA, Part 107, etc.)
● Assist with flight simulator sessions or career exploration events
Classroom & Program Support
● Tutor or assist in STEM labs or project-based learning sessions
● Help facilitate school visits, drone builds, or STEM competitions
● Support instructors with materials, student engagement, and logistics
💼 Fundraising & Community Engagement
● Help plan or staff fundraising events
● Serve on donor outreach teams or grant-writing support
● Organize awareness campaigns for Giving Week, local events, or school showcases
🗂 Administrative & Behind-the-Scenes Support
● Assist with volunteer coordination and communication
● Support data entry, scheduling, or supply management
● Provide translation, design, or tech support for outreach materials

Here's how to join our mission:
Prerequisites:
● Age 18 or older (some student volunteering available)
● Passion for education and STEM
● Background or interest in aviation, tech, youth services, or nonprofit work
Steps to Apply:
1. Complete the online Volunteer Interest Form → [Insert Link]
2. Attend a brief orientation (virtual or in-person)
3. Submit to a background check (required for those working directly with students)
4. Get matched with a role based on your skills and availability
Support Provided:
✔️ Training and materials for your volunteer role
✔️ Ongoing support and mentorship from AMCAI/AHSA staff
✔️ Letters of recommendation or service documentation upon request
