Graduate Industry Ready: How AMCAI and American High School Academy Are Changing Lives Through Aviation and STEM
In today’s fast-paced world, a high school diploma alone is no longer enough. To truly succeed, students need real skills, recognized credentials, and hands-on experience that connect the classroom to career opportunities.
That’s why the American High School Academy (AHSA) and the American Center for Aviation Innovation (AMCAI) have partnered to create a new model of education—one that’s career-connected, college-aligned, and industry-driven.

Education That Launches Futures
AMCAI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Miami, specializes in delivering aviation, aerospace, drone technology, AI, and robotics education to students from underserved and rising communities.
American High School Academy (AHSA), a Cognia®-accredited, NCAA®-approved private school, serves students in grades 6–12 through flexible programs, including dual enrollment and career pathways.
Together, they’re producing students who don’t just graduate—they launch industry-ready.
What “Industry Ready” Looks Like
Through this partnership, students access a powerful suite of opportunities designed to prepare them for high-demand fields like aviation, aerospace, AI, and business.
✅ FAA Drone Certification
Students train to become commercial drone pilots through FAA Part 107 prep—qualifying them to earn income right out of high school.
✅ Dual Enrollment with Miami Dade College
AHSA students can take MDC college courses while in high school, gaining college credits, early exposure to higher education, and valuable career preparation.
✅ Flight Simulation & Ground School
Students log time in flight simulators, follow a professional-grade checklist, and complete foundational aviation safety and systems training.
✅ AI, Robotics & Coding
Through AMCAI’s tech-forward curriculum, students master next-generation tools like AI logic models, drone software, and CAD design.
✅ Soft Skills for Success
Leadership, teamwork, public speaking, and entrepreneurship are embedded into every project, preparing students to lead, not follow.
A Diploma—And So Much More
Thanks to AHSA’s partnership with AMCAI, students leave with:
- 🎓 A real high school diploma (not a GED®)
- 📜 Industry certifications in drones, business, and aviation
- 🎓 College credit through MDC
- 🧠 Workforce readiness that sets them apart in interviews and internships
Even better, this program is accessible to most families—because AHSA proudly accepts the Step Up For Students Scholarship.
💸 That means tuition is virtually covered for ALL Florida residents.
📍 Two Campuses. One Mission.
AHSA offers two strategically located campuses in Miami-Dade:
📌 Kendall-South Miami Campus
10300 SW 72nd St, Miami, FL 33173
Features: flight simulators, Alienware tech labs, small class sizes
📌 North Miami–Hialeah Campus (at MDC North)
💙 Changing Lives—One Flight at a Time
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, over 2.1 million young people in the U.S. between ages 16–24 were out of school without a diploma in 2022.
AHSA and AMCAI are rewriting that story.
By connecting education to real careers, they’re giving students not just a second chance—but a launchpad.
“This program gave me a future I didn’t think I could have—and the skills to go after it.”
— AHSA Aviation Student
